Late this afternoon, Gretchen drove down to Westchester to see a Black Pumas show. I immediately started drinking beverages containing gin like I always do when Gretchen is away. Eventually I took Charlotte for a walk, which I did while carrying one such beverage in my hand.
Back at the house, I watched last Sunday's episode of House of the Dragon, a show that just keeps adding dragons and dragon riders (though occasionally the former and/or latter perish).

Meanwhile, I've been able to recover nearly everything from the failing old media drive. I've found that once I give it a huge copying assignment, it generally completes it no matter how long it takes. So I can cool it in the freezer, have it copy all the files from the Golden Age of Television directory, and it will copy all 500 or so gigabytes.
