Your leaking thatched hut during the restoration of a pre-Enlightenment state.

Hello, my name is Judas Gutenberg and this is my blaag (pronounced as you would the vomit noise "hyroop-bleuach").

   March 2025

St. Petersburgh Grand Prix - You don't have to see much to feel like you got the whole thing. Also, the Museum of Fine Arts.
St. Petersburgh Dog Bar - A delightful cross between a dog park and a bar.
like ceramic dinner plates - The chunks of ice in front of the garage.
compelling bone in the forest - Neville chews on it for hours.
auotmation insights for a manufacturing - Multiple failures on the way to hand-assembling a copper pipe menorah.
you're not vegan are you? - A job interview goes great after I seem to the interviewers to be a clone of a guy named Kevin.
the pizza place where they get things right - At Ollie's to celebrate getting a job after 21 months.
a web experience cluttered with scammy advertisements - I thwart an increasingly malevolent Google's attempt to disable my ad blocker.
stuffed with sandwich - At a thank-you party for KickStarter contributors in New Paltz.
first good thaw of 2025 - The dogs are sunbathing in the driveway again.
Brigitte's crazier sibling - While working on the Chamomile Wall on a gorgeous springlike day, two dogs from down the hill investigate.
salt-forward stir fry - I add a little too much soy sauce to the bok choy.
Charlotte and Neville at the Kingston Point dog park - After we eat an Indian-style lunch, we provide our dogs a little random socializing.
not a great time to liquidate my mother's stock holdings - The woman back in Staunton did it at maybe the worst possible time. But maybe the stock market will continue to slide.
hand-cut udon noodles - Our friend Jeff comes over for a birthday meal.
over 18 quintillion - Lots of ways to encrypt a secret on this balmy mid-March day.
near-spontaneous drive to the Shenandoah Valley - I need to do some stuff at the Shaque before I go back to work.
Thai food and a toilet repair - Feeding myself and taking care of some chores while based in the Shaque.
the meaningless noise of dozens of clothes pins - My mother used them to signify importance as her memory gradually failed her.
childhood home video conference - Continuing to move stuff to the basement of the Creekside trailer and then I give people back in Hurley a video tour.
my brother Don at the Chinese buffet - After a failed visit to a notary public, I watch Don eat a lot of egg rolls.
the persistent smell of cow manure - I smell it continuously from south of Staunton all the way to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
coping with a damaged brand - Stickers on the back of a friend's Tesla.
working yet again - I'm no longer unemployed, though I'm not yet loving my new job.
hating Windows 11 - It's the second day on the new job and I am not loving much about my computing environment.
sleepy workday afternoon - And I temporarily lose access to web browsers trying to fix the born-broken Windows 11 taskbar.
I actually have to work from home on Fridays - Because the office is physically closed.
the wrong pus-colored sauce - On a double date for some purple pie, the cook screws up and gives us the non-vegan sauce.
de-winterizing, 2025 - A visit to the cabin in a lingering snowy landscape.
snowy East Bifurcation Falls - I trudge through occasionally deep snow to see it running in its high-flow springtime glory.
Neville gets a bath - He's late to return for a balmy early spring walk.
