Pleae note: This page and all others in this site were designed to be seen in Netscape at 800x600 resolution. If you are using MSIE, the text will overlap the lefthand borders. I am aware of the problem but feel that because my site is nearly 200 pages in size, a decision to use one browser over another had to be made. I do not advocate one as being better than the other. Netscape is simply the one with which I am most familiar and so it was the logical choice when it came to page design. Thank you for all your emails telling me of the various problems you've encountered using other browsers on this site. Now go download Netscape. *grin*

The problem was indeed a blood clot in my lower right leg. The clot is still there and will dissolve over the next three months or so. I've learned more than I ever wanted to know about blood clots in the past couple days. The location of this one is actually good, as far as such things go, because the chances of it traveling to my lungs or brain are very slim, and those are the two places where a clot is dangerous. Clots that go to those places are called embolisms and can be fatal. So I'm in good shape, relatively.
I'm tired and will be confined mostly to bed for the next few days. I fail to see, though, how sitting in a computer chair could do any damage. :)
