The guestbook is back! Thank you to Paul at JetLink for installing the ban on Mr. Potty Mouth in an expedient manner. I'm glad to have the book back, but I shan't hesitate to remove it again if folks cannot behave themselves in it. I'm going to install a direct link from Elly's Best Place to Play Award to the guestbook so it will make it a bit easier for applicants to sign the guestbook. Several have emailed me saying they would have signed it if only they could have found it. It's listed on the navigational bar, and it seems rather self-evident to me that it would be on the main page, but I guess my mind doesn't work like others'.
I got the most intriguing email today. This was from someone from whom I applied for an award. The gist of the email was, "I don't understand your site at all. I think you need to change your attitude and have more faith in your fellow man. I am going to pray for you" My response was, "Haven't you ever had a bad day? I guess you didn't read the pages that are all about affirmation of life and love. Your loss." Of course I've heard nothing back, nor do I expect to. I guess it takes all kinds.
It is amazing and astouding what a difference one day can make for me. Rudy and I managed to work out our differences today and we've both felt wonderful, warm, fuzzy and comfortable with one another since that happened. A good portion of the day was spent reaffirming our love for one another (along with some romantic stuff that you had to be there for).
Something very special arrived in my mailbox last night, and I'd like to share it with all of you. This comes from a man named Reverend Keith Stevens and was written as a result of Rudy's applying for one of his beautiful awards for me. I'd like to share first part of his letter, and second the awardS he has so honored not only my site but me personally with.
"Because of the prior nomination You Personally (although your pages will receive the credit, this award is presented with YOU in mind), are being presented the Highest Honor that "Angel's Touch" has to offer..... THE ANGELIC HEART AWARD... Please, go to http://www.poky.srv.net/~angels/index.html/angaward.html for the Full Details and meaning of why this award was inspirationally created.
"For you Site, I present my Love Award, and to you personally, as a gift from me, it is my honor and privilege to present to you my 'Precious Rose Award' to remind you that There IS Love & Beauty, even amongst the Thorns (((((Place Big HUG Here)))))...
"Congratulations Elly,.... God Love You & Angels Protect You."
Not one, but THREE awards! How can I ever repay this man's kindness and generosity of spirit? Here is what the brief history of the first award says:
"The "Angelic Heart Award" was inspired and created to be given to those folks and their web-sites that have so generously and freely given of themselves; considering others without a mention of return and bettering our Human experience, The Universe, The Earth, and Humankind because of their existence." Does this sound like me? No, I didn't think so. Whatever Rudy wrote in terms of an application, it must have been a doozy. But I am grateful... more than either Rudy or Reverend Stevens probably knows. There are three different awards graphics for this particular award. The one I chose is this one:
Beautiful, isn't it?
The second award, the Love Award, is also beautiful, as are all the awards on Reverend Stevens' site. Take a gander at this!
The third award, though, the Precious Rose Award, is exquisite! Check this out:
Pleasse don't take these for use on your site. They are very, very special to me and I would be quite upset if their integrity was compromised by someone ripping them off. If you are someone I know well enough to write a letter or recommendation/application, just email me and I will be delighted to apply on your behalf for any or all of these beautiful awards.
I've never really felt so undeserving of awards before, but I feel in my soul that perhaps they were given to me in order to inspire and motivate me to be all that I can be. Yesterday was such a terrible day, and today was so filled with love and Light. My deepest thanks to Rudy and to Reverend Stevens for this great honor.
