Goth Central

the place where Theresa and Persad lived for about a year following the demise of Big Fun (where Theresa had been living for a short time). Goth Central was a small one-bedroom apartment located on the first floor of an older brick complex at 1300 Wertland Street.

Goth Central was, like the Horrid Crash Pad, a good place to go anytime one was bored. Usually pot was being smoked, wine was being drunk, or chess games were being played. And then there were the fights. Theresa and Persad had a difficult relationship, and they fought about lots of things, but most of these things seemed to grow out of feelings of jealousy. The fights would get vicious at times. Expensive things would be thrown or used for clubs. Super glue was an important commodity in Goth Central to fix the many ceramic things that would get smashed.

Regulars at the Horrid Crash Pad included Monster Boy, Cecelia and Leticia the Brazilian Girls, and most people from the days of Big Fun.

Others hung out there occasionally, including some of Theresa and Persad's old chums from their childhood down at the Swami's commune in Buckingham County.

Occasionally Cecelia would introduce new people into the scene, for example Hapless Mike, famous for his large werewolf fingernails.

In the early days Rebecca (then Monster Boy's girlfriend) and Dink Boy (a talkative pseudo-intellectual) hung out regularly at Goth Central. However, in an altercation in February of 1997, Theresa severely attacked Dink Boy and, in his recovery, he lured Rebecca away from Monster Boy. Rebecca and Dink Boy, needless to say, stopped frequenting the place at that time.
