This bird was a common "pest bird" in rural tourist areas. It had iridescent black feathers with orange fringes on its wing. In other tourist areas further east along the southern coast, a common "pest bird" was a greyish thrush that resembled a small American Mockingbird, though it never seemed the slightest bit interested in human food.
