Gretchen invented a new comic character for herself based only on the name of our cabin, Stinkwood, where we didn't have our own shower. Affecting an urban African-American voice, she spoke of marching up to one of the more upscale cabins to use their shower. Encountering trouble, she'd say, as if proudly displaying a badge of poverty, "I'm from Stankwoooooood, and don't gimme none of that cheap shampoo neither."
