Dear Mr. Editor:

It is such a refreshing thing to see Jesse Helms and other ramparts of family values going on the attack against the arrogant American Artistic and Public Broadcasting communities. The liberals that constitute these communities would have us believe that women shouldn't be made to bear children, that sodomites shouldn't be publicly stoned, that bugs shouldn't be stomped, that we evolved from monkeys, and that Jesus was just a regular guy. As the American people demonstrated in the last election, these are not normal views.

A good start is to eliminate funding for the arts. But more than just overt funding supports this subversive artistic community. Just one example of hidden funding we provide them is our highway system. Think of all the blasphemous pictures being moved around on highways that our tax dollars pay for! I say Jesse Helms should look into having inspection stations erected every so often on our highways to ensure that the works of certain authors and artists, such as the Beatles, Darwin, Kafka, Manet, Mapplethorpe, Marx and Snoop Doggy Dog are not being transported down our public roads.

Meanwhile, our prison needs will expand and it will certainly prove most cost effective to convert old museums, JMU's physics dept., the broadcast facilities of WVPT, and other institutions of liberalism into new prison space.

Sincerely,

Gus Mueller
