Your leaking thatched hut during the restoration of a pre-Enlightenment state.

Hello, my name is Judas Gutenberg and this is my blaag (pronounced as you would the vomit noise "hyroop-bleuach").

Like my brownhouse:
   I'm a guilty pleasure
Tuesday, December 8 1998
The wine and late hours last night took a bit of a toll on me today, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. Again there was frost on the grass this morning, but Kim drove me to work and I didn't find myself craving gloves.
Checking my logs, I discovered that I've been crowned the "Top Guilty Pleasure of 1998." I accept this prize enthusiastically. I'm never insulted to be declared a dirty and arrogant slacker-turned-San-Diego-computer-programmer. My co-worker John was co-incidentally featured in "Cool Watch" today and he was also "stoked," as they say. It felt like web ground-zero at work today, despite the network difficulties that made it possible for me to actually get in a little work on my own personal site.
Rory was the ever-pleasant houseguest yet again today. We drank wine and exchanged hitch hiking tales.
On Sunday Kim and I will be hosting a holiday housewarming party. It will begin at our apartment and later move on to Kevin's place in Mission Valley, concluding in a hot tub at his apartment complex. The design for the flyer featured a graphic of a well-dressed man spanking a woman dressed in lingerie, but I substituted in the faces of Special Prosecutor Kenneth Starr and Linda Tripp, with Starr saying, "Ho ho ho! Under my mistletoe, are we?" Infusing a holiday party invitation with political commentary delighted me a great deal. But though Kim admires my originality, I think she'd prefer a more restraint on my part. It seems Rory's presence has had the unexpected effect of helping me to rediscover my edge.
