Your leaking thatched hut during the restoration of a pre-Enlightenment state.

Hello, my name is Judas Gutenberg and this is my blaag (pronounced as you would the vomit noise "hyroop-bleuach").

Like my brownhouse:
   all tiresome characters
Monday, June 3 2013
Today temperatures returned to a somewhat sub-seasonal condition, with highs barely breaking into the 70s. It was cool enough to lead me to shut all the remaining windows that remained open. I also found myself missing the heat and humidity of recent days. Tellingly, the cicadas, whose din had been rapidly rising, leveled off significantly with this spell of coolness.
All day I'd been doing various things in front of my computer, taking breaks now and then to weed the garden. Among the things I did at my computer was the watching of the latest episode of Game of Thrones, the so-called "Red Wedding" episode. Spoiler alert: a bunch of important characters died. But they were all tiresome characters whose threads I didn't care all that much about. True: they were also some of the more morally-pure characters. But what does it matter? It's an inherently amoral world and "winter is coming" (sort of, one imagines, like Jesus is coming).
Later this afternoon, I felt a sudden urge to take a nap, and so I ended up sleeping for hours. This may or may not have had something to do with my continued program of absolute caffeine abstinence.
