   subsurface rocks like icecubes
Thursday, June 13 2013 [REDACTED]
Today was another unpleasantly-cool day of almost constant rain. In the early afternoon there was a brief break in the precipitation, which allowed me to finally take the dogs for a walk. This time I remembered to wear rubber boots instead of Crocs or flip flops. Though the rain itself was not so cold, the water coming out of the ground was often bone-numbingly frigid. The subsurface rocks still still have a bit of residual winter chill in them and have been acting like icecubes in a drink.
