   high of 25
Wednesday, January 3 2018 [REDACTED]

It felt a little warmer for a period of time today, though temperatures only peaked at about 25 degrees Fahrenheit, a full ten degrees colder than a normal high for this time of year.

[REDACTED]

This evening I couldn't help myself and watched episode four of the fourth season of Black Mirror, an episode called "Hang the DJ." At first we are led to believe we're looking at a world ruled by an authoritarian regime that uses computers to facilate and regement of dating process. People recieve notification of their dates seemingly at random and then have a date of a pre-determined length (12hrs to 5 yrs) after which they are given another date. Oddly, few people in this world appear to have friends or do anything except date other people (though there is restaurant staff and security guys with menacing tasers). Only at the end does the big reveal happen, and it was so jarring that I needed some web help to undestand what I'd just seen. It didn't help that I'd been drinking marijuana tea since just before 10:00pm.
