I spent much of my day in the remote workplace reverse-engineering TinyMCE plugins so I could find a way to adding template-based tools to TinyMCE (a Javascript-based What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get text editor). TinyMCE has an elaborate API that theoretically allows it to assume many forms, though I'm finding the documentation incomplete; I still have to look at the code itself to know for sure how to use it.
