phoebe flexibility Thursday, April 26 2018
The weather was back to being sunny, though the pinecones weren't yet dry enough to fluff out on Sally's grave. I should've worked on Gretchen's porch project, but there are only so many hours in a day, and this one happened to be a work day (not that this distinction has that much meaning).
Lately I've been noticing a robin doing something in the evergreen bush in front of the house. I suspect a nest is being built, but I cannot be sure. This year the phoebes seem to be working on a nesting project at the greenhouse, which would be a new place for them.

Gretchen continues to go down to the Shawangunk Correctional Facility every Thursday night to teach English to prisoners as a volunteer college professor, though I get the feeling she no longer loves the gig.
